Nominations Are Now Open for Several AMA Foundation Awards
Chicago, IL— The American Marketing Association (AMA) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for several marketing awards for the 2025 awards season. Help us recognize marketing visionaries who have elevated the field and support the next generation of marketers who will transform the profession.
Awards Open For Nomination:
John A. Howard/AMA Doctoral Dissertation Award: This award is a decades-old honor recognizing excellent doctoral dissertations. Students completing the requirements for a doctorate in marketing and consumer behavior-related topics between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, are invited to enter.
Nomination Deadline: October 25, 2024
AMA-Irwin-McGraw-Hill Distinguished Marketing Educator Award: This prestigious award honors living marketing educators for distinguished service and outstanding contributions to marketing education. All marketing educators who have made sustained contributions to marketing over an extended period are eligible.

AMA Fellows: The distinction of “AMA Fellow” is given to members in good standing with the AMA who have made significant contributions to the research, theory and practice of marketing or the service and activities of the AMA over a prolonged period. The AMA Fellow designation recognizes marketing academics’ achievement and creates a space for fellowship, discussion, collaboration, and continued contributions to the discipline.

William L. Wilkie Marketing for a Better World Award: This award honors marketing thinkers who have significantly contributed to our understanding and appreciation for marketing’s potential to improve our world and from whose work notable advances have ensured–-in the mold of Bill Wilkie of the University of Notre Dame.

Erin Anderson Award for an Emerging Female Marketing Scholar and Mentor: This award recognizes emerging female marketing scholars and mentors while honoring and celebrating the life of Erin Anderson. Erin was a widely respected mentor and scholar whose research made significant contributions to the marketing discipline. To honor Erin and support her passion for encouraging women in academia, this award recognizes a female marketing scholar we anticipate becoming a leading marketing academic in the mold of Erin Anderson.

V. Kumar Doctoral Student Mentorship Award: This award is given biennially to recognize productive scholars in the field of marketing who have made significant and recognition-worthy contributions to the advancement of PhD students in marketing while helping create the pipeline of marketing scholars who continue to contribute to the marketing discipline through their research, teaching and service.
Nomination Deadline: November 8, 2024
Robert Lusch Early Career Research Award: This award recognizes an early-career scholar who has published an article in an AMA Journal. The selected article pushes boundaries and introduces novel theories and/or conceptual frames to better understand consumers, markets, and marketing actions.
Nomination Deadline: November 15, 2024
