What is the decision problem?  How do I find it?

The most important step is to define the market researching problem.  Using the Word template, it will organize the process for you. First you must identify and formulate the decision problem before you proceed any further into your marketing plan research project.  You must discover the problem with specific individuals through interviews, questions, and responses.  Clarification of the importance of the problem, its source, and assumption is needed.  Then the decision problem needs to be documented in the form of a question and then validate the question with the managers that you interviewed during the discovery process.  A great organizational tool to kick-start your marketing research process!
