
Erik Hermann is Interim Professor of Marketing at European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
He holds a PhD in Marketing and an LL.M. in European Business Law from the same university. Before joining ESCP, he was Permanent Affiliate Professor of Marketing at ESCP Business School Berlin and worked as Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Deutsche Payment A1M SE, as a consultant for digital solutions at Mazars, and as a consultant for advertising policy at the German Advertising Federation, among others.
His research focuses on consumer behavior and psychology as well as the ethical and socio-technical issues and implications of the development and deployment of (Gen)AI in marketing. His research has led to publications in leading marketing journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.
