Bridging Gaps: Marketing in an Age of Disruption

In the last decade, and especially the last several months, marketing has been affected by disruption in ways that nobody could have foreseen. From big data to social media to the sharing economy and the COVID-19 pandemic, technology has disrupted product innovation, pricing structures, branding strategies and distribution platforms. This disruption raises novel questions that require new thinking, research methods and tools. The conference is a platform to bring together academics and practitioners to set the agenda for this future.

Resources for Using the Cisco WebEx Webinar Platform

We’re excited to be using the ExOrdo virtual event solution for the first time for the 2020 AMA Summer Academic Conference. The platform utilizes the Cisco WebEx Webinar software. Here are a few resources for navigating the platform.

Before Tuesday, August 18:

You will need to take the following steps to make sure you’re ready when the conference begins.

Download the Cisco WebEx Events software.

Ensure you can log in to the 2020 AMA Summer Academic Conference ExOrdo event website. Your login email is the same one you used to register for the event on ama.org.

Once you have entered your session, you will only be able to communicate through the chat. You will not be seen or heard. If you are a session chair or a presenter, the AMA Room host will “promote” you to presenter.

We’ve also put together a quick infographic to help you navigate the platform.
