Scholarly Research – Ideas and Avoiding Pitfalls

Nashville, TN | 8:00 a.m. - Noon CT

This half-day workshop held on February 10 from 8:00 a.m. – Noon CT, will concentrate on two aspects related to publishing. The first part of the discussion will focus on the process of generating ideas that have the potential to result in a scholarly publication. The second part will focus on how to avoid some of the common mistakes that authors make when crafting a manuscript, and subsequently when revising the manuscript. Specifically, the topics covered include:

  • Where to get the ideas
  • How to achieve both rigor and relevance
  • How to get firms’ cooperation, if needed
  • Identifying and solving key business challenges
  • Speaking in managers’ tongue
  • Understanding the process of the publications journey

Under each topic, several research studies will be discussed, some of which are recently published, and some are forthcoming.

Space is limited; please register early.
