Attention Collegiate Community:

Details for the 2026-2027 AMA Competition Season – including competition guidelines, judging rubrics, sign-up forms and prize outlines will be released in late Summer/early Fall 2026.

To help you prepare, information from the past season is provided below for general reference only. Important details will be updated in the months ahead, so watch your inbox for 2026-2027 competition details!

As a gentle reminder, please make sure all incoming chapter leaders & e-board members are listed in your Chapter’s Community Admin Portal to ensure they receive important announcements and competition updates from the AMA.


Competition Objectives

Utilizing Marketplace Simulations, your team of 3-5 students will engage in competitive challenges against other schools to:

  • Identify market opportunities
  • Design new products
  • Create ad campaigns
  • Manage a sales team
  • React to market and industry data
  • Grow your bottom line

Competition Process

  1. Sign up when enrollment opens.
    • Note: This is a team competition, with teams comprising of 3-5 students. There are only 70 team slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. Register for the AMA International Collegiate Conference.
    • Note: Even if your chapter is still in the process of paying for ICC, you can sign up for the ICC competitions. All competition participants will be verified and confirmed before securing a competition spot.
  3. Once verified, participants will receive a confirmation email with further details from the sponsor.
  4. Each competing student must provide and bring their own laptop and power cord. It is the responsibility of the participating chapters to ensure their team has the necessary technology to compete.

Entry Requirements

  • Exclusively open to undergraduate students from schools with an active AMA-affiliated collegiate chapter.
  • Each AMA Collegiate Chapter may register only one team, consisting of 3-5 students, to compete.
  • Students competing are required to be in person at the AMA International Collegiate Conference.

Competition Prize

One prize will be given in each placement (Chapter Team Win):

1st Place with certificate: $500 Gift Card

2nd Place with certificate: $350 Gift Card

3rd Place with certificate: $250 Gift Card

4th Place with certificate: $150 Gift Card

5th Place with certificate: $150 Gift Card


FAQs

Do I have to be registered for the 2027 AMA International Collegiate Conference to participate?
Yes, participation in this competition requires registration for the ICC as it is held in person at the conference.

Can my chapter sign up multiple teams to complete?
No, only one team per chapter is allowed to sign up to compete.
