Martin Nance

Keynote | Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Minnesota Vikings

Martin Nance serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the club, where he’s responsible for developing fan engagement strategy through marketing, content and brand initiatives. Nance manages multiple departments, including marketing, sponsorship activation, events, premium services, creative, sales analytics & engagement and Vikings Entertainment Network.

Nance played a major role in welcoming back fans to U.S. Bank Stadium in 2021 and joined the organization in 2020 with over 10 years of leadership experience in strategic marketing programs, advertising, branding, fan engagement and customer relations for PepsiCo/Gatorade, previously serving as the Senior Director of Marketing and Sports Intelligence. Prior to his move to senior director, Nance served in a number of roles for PepsiCo/Gatorade from 2011-20, including Director of Marketing and Head of Gatorade Athlete Activation (2018-20), Senior Marketing Manager of Gatorade Brand Strategy (2015-18), Marketing Innovation Manager (2013-15) and Marketing Associate Manager (2011-13).

As an NFL WR, Nance spent time with Buffalo, Minnesota and Pittsburgh from 2006-09, seeing game action with the Vikings as a rookie in 2006 and finishing the 2009 season as a Super Bowl XLIII Champion with the Steelers. He began his post-playing business pursuits with the NFL office in 2011, working on corporate development activities for both team organizations and league revenue generation.

Nance graduated with a BS in Accountancy from Miami University of Ohio in 2005, and later went on to earn his MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a certificate in Executive Education from the Harvard Business School. Nance currently serves on the boards of Miami University’s athletic department and University of Minnesota Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. He and his wife, Minya, have two daughters, Alina and Ava.

Mark Collins Romig

Keynote | Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, New Orleans & Company

A native New Orleanian, Mark is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of New Orleans & Company, the New Orleans tourism industry’s destination marketing and sales organization.

His public relations career has spanned more than four decades and has taken him from teaching in college classrooms to the 1984 Louisiana World’s Fair, from working as a Staff Assistant to U.S. Dept. of Transportation Secretary Elizabeth Dole and the 1987-88 presidential campaign of U.S. Senator Bob Dole, and to corporate and non-profit public relations and marketing counseling.

In 2013 Mark became the Stadium Announcer for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, succeeding his father, Jerry (who served in the same role for 446 consecutive Saints home games over 44 years). Mark is also a member of the Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank, headquartered in New Orleans.

Active in his community, Mark recently served as the appointed volunteer President and CEO of the 2018 NOLA Foundation, the organization responsible for organizing the City of New Orleans’ Tricentennial celebration in 2018. He is also working in several other volunteer roles, including past Chairman of the Board for the Louisiana Travel Association. Among his community activities, Mark is a member of board of directors of the Audubon Nature Institute, and the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, WYES-TV, Fore!Kids Foundation, Methodist Health System Foundation, and the Academy of the Sacred Heart. He also serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Travel and Tourism Advisory Council and as an advisor to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. Mark is also completing his service as a member of the Board and President of the Board of Directors for the Parking Facilities Corporation (PFC), which operates the long term and economy parking garages at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

Looking for some fresh and fun ways to raise funds? We’ve got you covered! Check out these creative and effective fundraising ideas that will help you reach your goals.

Creative Fundraisers

    • Faculty Pie in the Face: Organize an event where students can donate to see faculty members get a pie in the face.

    • Chapter Movie Night: Charge $50 for businesses to run ad spots before the movie starts, charge students for movie tickets, facilitate snack sales, and offer sponsorship opportunities.

    • Bingo Fundraiser: Collect prizes from local businesses, charge for entry and bingo cards, and sell snacks during the event.

    • Karaoke Night: Rent a karaoke machine and work with your campus to find a location for the event. Charge an entry fee and invite students to showcase their vocal talents and support a great cause.

    • Gaming Tournament: Charge entry fees, and solicit donations for prizes for winners. It’s a great way to get the gaming community involved and have fun while raising funds.

Service-Based Fundraisers

    • Client Projects: Position chapter work as agency projects and secure funding by taking on 4 to 6 client projects.

    • Headshot Session: Host an event where professional headshots are taken. Charge a fee for student members and non-members. To reduce costs, use a team member who’s in marketing/reporting/communications or enjoys photography to take the photos.

    • Tutoring Services: Offer tutoring for donations to help students on and off campus.

Partnership Fundraisers

    • Restaurant Nights: Partner with a local restaurant and receive a percentage of the sales for the chapter funding.

    • Golf or Bowling Outings: Organize fun community-building golf/mini-golf or bowling outings to secure funds.

Event-Based Fundraisers

    • Career Fairs: Host small career fairs on campus and charge businesses a fee to participate. Invite them to recruit marketing and business students.

    • Silent Auction: Solicit donations from area businesses, display items for bidding, and encourage participants to place bids to raise funds.

Sponsorship Opportunities

    • Sponsorship Packages: Offer sponsorship packages to include speaker spots at workshops at your local event, sponsor placements on chapter t-shirts and career fair engagements.

    • Paid Ads: Sell advertising space to be showcased at fundraising and other events through slideshows or videos.
