AMA Event Policies

By registering and attending AMA events, you consent to the following policies. These policies apply to all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, vendors and sponsors.

Cancellation Policy

Things happen. We understand! For any live online or in-person AMA event, we offer a no-cost cancellation and a full registration refund as long as you contact AMA Customer Support at customersupport@ama.org or 800-AMA-1150 before the event’s start date.

Registrations may not be shared but may be transferred prior to the start of the event with notification to the AMA by phone or email.

Please note: Any hotel room booked outside the AMA negotiated block of rooms will not be reimbursed for expenses, including the need to cancel the event.

Photo Policy

For In-Person Events:

Registrants of AMA Events agree to allow AMA and its official photographer to photograph them in the context of the conference. Footage captured by the official AMA photographer may be used in future print and electronic promotional and archival materials.

For Virtual Events:

Registrants of AMA Events agree to allow AMA to use audio and visual recordings in the context of the conference. Recordings captured by the AMA may be used in future promotional and archival materials.

AMA Commitment to Conference Safety

The American Marketing Association is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming and professional conference experience for all participants.

The AMA Commitment to Conference Safety can be found as a part of our AMA Behavior Expectations policy. By registering and attending an AMA event, you agree to abide by the AMA Behavior Expectations policy.

Health & Safety | Assumption of Risk

While participating in events held or sponsored by the American Marketing Association, (“AMA”), AMA cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19 or other diseases that spread through person-to-person contact.

Participants are encouraged to engage in whatever hygiene practices they determine necessary to protect themselves, including hand hygiene, “social distancing”, wearing face coverings, or other practices consistent with CDC and WHO guidelines.

By registering for this event, you acknowledge that you participate willingly and assume the risk of contracting infectious diseases as a result of your participation.
