Competition Process
- Sign up when enrollment opens.
- Register for the AMA International Collegiate Conference. Note: Even if your chapter is still in the process of paying for ICC, you can sign up for the ICC competitions. All competition participants will be verified and confirmed before securing a competition spot.
- Once verified, participants will receive a confirmation email with further details.
Entry Requirements
- Exclusively open to undergraduate students from schools with an active AMA-affiliated collegiate chapter.
- Students competing are required to be in person at the AMA International Collegiate Conference.
- Note: This competition allows chapters to register multiple student participants that are interested in competing, and will be based on capacity.
Round Details
Round 1: A 90-second interview in which you position yourself as being “right for the job.”
Finals: Top students advance for a final interview.

How is the Competition Judged?
Students participants in Round 1 will be judged using the following guidelines and point scale for each category:
- Round 1 Rubric –
- Dress Professionally: 1 to 5 Points
- Use Creativity In The Pitch (Tell a Story, Relate To Sponsor Company, Etc.): 1 to 10 Points
- Customized To Sponsor Company And Values: 1 to 10 Points
- Attention-Getting (How well did the Pitch Catch Your Attention): 1 to 10 Points
- Provided Evidence Of Positive Traits: 1 to 10 Points
- How Hirable/Professional Would You Say This Student Is Based On The Pitch And Demeanor: 1 to 10 Points
- Did The Pitch Include A Call To Action To Move The Hiring Process Forward: 1 to 10 Points

Competition Prize
This competition will award the following placements:
- 1st Place – $500 and Plaque (2 will be awarded)
- 2nd Place – $400 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
- 3rd Place – $300 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
- 4th Place – $250 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
- 5th Place – $200 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
- 6th Place – $100 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
- 7th Place – $100 and certificate (2 will be awarded)
