As incoming President-Elect of the Professional Chapters Council (PCC), I am happy to share the 2021-2022 Chapter Excellence Awards (CEA) Entry Form. The deadline to submit is Thursday, September 1 at Noon (Central Time).
The purpose of the CEA is two-fold:
- To recognize AMA professional chapters for their achievements.
- To provide a historical perspective for your chapter.
While not mandatory, completing and submitting the CEA Entry Form is a best practice for all chapters. Continuing in the AMA CEA tradition, the CEA awards up for grabs are:

- Chapter of the Year Awards
- Gold, Silver, Bronze, Turn-it-Up
- Chapter of the Year Awards
- Excellence and Special Merit recognitions

- Leadership, Membership, Programming, Communications, and Community Outreach
- Continuing Excellence recognition
- For chapters who win a CEA 5+ years in a row
Earning a CEA award is no easy feat, and this year will be even more competitive than ever!
During the 2021-2022, many of our chapters resumed in-person programming, began to explore “hybrid” programming, and created new and innovative ways to continue to push the envelope. Plus, with the introduction of the DEI pledge in 2020, about 64% of chapters have strategically incorporated DEI best practices into their chapter operations. Thus, the CEA Entry Form now reflects these important changes!
Another new change this year is the submission process. You can learn more about how to submit your CEA this year on the Entry Form itself.
