The AMA and Marketing EDGE Enter a New Strategic Partnership

Marketing EDGE is a national nonprofit committed to shaping the future of marketing leadership by connecting students, academics and professionals to the resources and relationships they need to see, move and stay ahead.

Over the last 55 years, they’ve served more than 110,000 students through various initiatives to magnify their vision to Launch Generations of Diverse and Inclusive Marketing Leaders.

That vision aligns perfectly with our 80+ year history at the AMA of building the Essential Community for Marketers where students, scholars and marketing professionals can find the resources and connections they need to advance their careers, grow our profession and create a better world. 

In light of the unfolding pandemic and dramatic social changes which continue to transform the landscape of education, marketing, fundraising, the workforce and the workplace, the Marketing EDGE Board of Trustees and Leadership Team have established new strategic partnerships to help the organization expand its scope and reach in 2022. 

And since Marketing EDGE and the AMA have a like-minded mission and vision for supporting the marketing community, we’re excited to announce that the AMA will be partnering on the following initiatives in 2022.

Journal of Interactive Marketing

The Journal of Interactive Marketing currently holds an esteemed position within Marketing academe as the leading scholarly periodical specializing in digital, social media, influencer, AI and other forms of interactive marketing.

Interactive Marketing Research Conference

A boutique event, the Interactive Marketing Research Conference is designed to encourage community around the Journal of Interactive Marketing and push the boundaries of interactive marketing, data management, innovation and martech.

Professors Institute

The Professors Institute is a unique forum that provides advice and training for early-career faculty. The AMA will support Southern Methodist University and the Brierley Institute for Customer Engagement on this initiative.

Collegiate Summit

The Collegiate Summit is designed to connect a select group of undergraduate students with marketing leaders in a multi-day workshop.The program prepares students for internships and marketing career launches by filling gaps between theory and practice.

Career Forums

Career Forums typically happen multiple times a year and are focused on career preparedness as students begin their professional careers, with a focus on keynote speakers, networking sessions and workshops.

First Gen Mentorship

The First Gen Mentorship initiative is a virtual, semester-based mentoring program to match first-generation college students with marketing professionals/executives.

Undergraduate Student Scholarships

Marketing EDGE scholarship funds support a diverse set of students who participate in Marketing EDGE programming.
