Whether you are a current or incoming board member, the BLA empowers you to elevate your leadership, strengthen your chapter, and make a lasting impact on AMA and your career.
What is the BLA?
The Board Leadership Accelerator is not just a training program, it’s a path to professional growth. Guided by our belief that Stronger Leaders = Stronger Chapters, this initiative builds on previous PCC-led initiatives, such as Regional Retreats and Leadership Summit, and introduces fresh content, formats, and experiences tailored to today’s challenges and opportunities.

Developed and informed by successful past chapter presidents, the BLA delivers dynamic, digestible courses, live events, and a supportive community to help you:
- Lead with Confidence: Master strategic, operational, and leadership skills to build strong, cohesive chapters.
- Advance Your Career: Acquire transferable skills that benefit your professional growth and prepare you for board leadership beyond AMA.
- Strengthen AMA’s Mission: Contribute to expanding the American Marketing Association by growing and retaining engaged membership and volunteers.
What is involved?
The BLA program is comprised of seven dynamic components designed to empower and support chapter leaders at every level:
- Cohort Advisory Groups: Already underway, Presidents, President-Elects, and other chapter leaders meet bi-monthly with their PCC Advisors to exchange best practices, tackle shared challenges, and build a strong leadership network.
- Live Virtual Workshops: Interactive, deep-dive sessions that provide actionable insights and strategies to elevate your chapter operations and drive success.
- Self-Paced Learning: Flexible, on-demand modules to help you strengthen your leadership skills and master chapter management at your own pace.
- Regional Meetups: Connect with fellow chapter leaders in host cities to foster collaboration and share innovative ideas across the region.
- Leadership Labs: Attend an exclusive in-person experience tailored for President-Elects and President-Elect Delegates to prepare them for their leadership journey.
- Recognition Events: Celebrate chapter achievements and honor exceptional contributions with the Chapter Excellence and Volunteer of the Year Awards.
- DEIA Programs: Drive inclusive leadership through a series of expert training, community town halls, and the Diversity-Driven Marketing Symposium.
Other than the in-person experience, there is no cost to you.
