Getting Started
After downloading and logging into the mobile app, you’ll have everything within reach to navigate the AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education! Visit the App Store / Google Play store to download the Cvent app.
Log in details:
1. Open the Cvent app on your phone.
2. Enter your first name, last name and email you used when registering.
3. You will receive an email with a verification code. Enter the code to finish logging in.
4. Search for “2025 AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education” or “Higher Ed” and add it as your event.
Already have the Cvent app and are currently logged in to a past event? Select the menu icon on the bottom toolbar, scroll to the bottom and choose Exit Event. Then search for “2025 AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education” or “Higher Ed” to set it as your current event.
Be sure to update to the newest version of the mobile app!
IMPORTANT: Allow push notifications from the Cvent app via your phone’s settings to receive updates in real-time!
App Overview
Toggle between the main areas of the app by tapping the bottom bar of the screen to navigate through the main page, Schedule, Exhibitors, Your Profile and more.
The menu icon located in the bottom right corner will take you to a list of Attendees, Sponsors, Speakers, FAQs, Wi-Fi, Maps, AMA Resources and more!
We strongly encourage you to update your profile—upload a headshot and add your title, headline, and bio to share why you’re here. This will help you stand out so peers can message and connect with you.

Build Your Schedule
Choose your AMA Higher Ed adventure and curate your agenda within the app to quickly reference your next stop throughout the day.
Every session has a “+” icon. A session must be added to your schedule in order to be scanned into the room. Learn more below on how to add a session before it reaches capacity.
- Two sessions happening simultaneously cannot both be added to your schedule.
- General sessions (like keynotes and awards) are automatically on your agenda. These particular ones will show up with a checkmark on the bottom right where the “+” icon usually is.
- Toggle to “My Schedule” at the top of the Schedule tab to view your fully curated schedule.
Not sure where to start? Search sessions based on your goals! The Session Guide located at the top of the screen in the Schedule tab is your quick view into everything related to Enrollment, Retention & Fundraising, MarTech & AI, Strategy & Planning, and more. You can also find the full list of Innovation Showcases, Idea Exchanges, and Exhibit Hall Stage sessions here!
Are you registered for Pre-Conference Workshops? Be sure to add your preferred workshops before they kick off on-site Sunday, November 9!

Add a Session Before It Reaches Capacity
Selecting the “+” icon on a session will automatically add it to the My Schedule tab. However, adding a session will NOT save your seat. If you have added to your schedule, you MUST arrive 5+ minutes prior to the session start time.
Sessions may fill up quickly! If a session reaches capacity, you’re welcome to wait outside the room. Space permitting, additional attendees may be let in on a first-come, first-served basis.

Download Session Slides
Jot down your top takeaways, let the insights sink in and ask questions (during a Q&A, if time allows, or message the speaker within the app)! Session slides available for download will be released at the end of each day at the conference. They will be available for 6 months after the event.

Rate a Session
Leave a rating for the session while it’s still fresh in your mind! Surveys will be available to attendees who were scanned in and will be live minutes before the session ends. Want to share your thoughts at the end of the day? Just find the sessions you attended and click “Survey” under their description. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
Meet the Speakers
Don’t let the knowledge exchange end here! If you have a question for the speaker of a session or want to connect, message them on the app or find them on LinkedIn.

Network with Peers
You’re surrounded by peers from across the nation who understand your challenges and goals! Find someone new and share stories – you never know where it’ll lead.

Connect with Sponsors
These dedicated solution providers do all they can to help you reach your goals (and then some).
Join their sessions to hear new research results, industry leader opinions, success stories and more! Be sure to meet them at their booth in the Exhibit Hall to find out how they can help your institution.

Venue Maps
Making your way around the Symposium will be easy with two maps in the app, both accessible via the Home page:
- Floor Plan: Locate the different types of sessions, registration, the AMA Member Zone, and more.
- Exhibit Hall: Get an aerial view of the booths! Zoom in and click on the map, or if you know who you’re looking for, use the list to find the sponsor and click to be taken to their location on the map.
