Introduction

Peter Kaufman and Frederick Langrehr are creating a resource for teaching marketing metrics and are collecting teaching materials on the topic

Greetings,

Since you may be familiar with Paul Farris et. al.’s Marketing Metrics book or Management-By-the-Numbers website you know the importance of helping students learn and use metrics. An increasing number of professors new to this field are preparing to teach this material. We need your help in making teaching materials available to the profession.

We are donating our time to develop a crowd sourced instructor’s resource center with teaching materials for marketing metrics courses. Paul Farris, David Reibstein and their co-authors fully support this collaboration. The materials will be available at an AMA password protected site and will only be accessible by instructors. What will help other professors? If you are teaching an entire course in metrics or have it as part of another course such as marketing, brand or product strategy, analytics, or sales, retail or web management would you please send us your:

  • Syllabus
  • Titles of (if not listed in the syllabus):
  • Cases requiring numeric marketing financial analysis.
  • Readings, academic and trade, covering metrics.
  • Other books you require or recommend to students or ones you use for background to work in this area.
  • Marketing financial data sets students use to conduct ratio analysis.
  • Modules you developed similar to the ones at Management-By-The-Numbers website or word/work problems using marketing metrics formulas.
  • Test questions
