AMA International Sales Competition


The AMA International Sales Competition, sponsored by ABC Supply Co. Inc., held in the afternoon on Friday, March 18, 2016, with Finals being held Saturday, March 19, 2016 is an ideal opportunity to compete one-on-one against other AMA marketing students and test your ability to close the sale and win cash prizes! The first round of the Sales Competition takes place on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the AMA International Collegiate Conference between 2:00pm-4:30pm with Finalists being chosen to compete in the final round of competition.  Finalists will be announced the Friday Competitions Ceremony, with overall Winners being announced during the Awards buffet banquet Saturday evening.

  •  Applications will be accepted for this competition starting November 2, 2015 until we fill 60 participant slots, and is only open to current dues-paid AMA student members.

  • Limit 2 participant entries per chapter. AMA will fill cancellations from our Waitlist, trust us, it works out well for all involved. No chapter/individual substitutions will be accepted for cancellations for any reason. Submission of entry means chapter acceptance of all policies.

  • To reserve your space, you must submit a $25 non-refundable charge via credit card.
     Your card will be charged immediately, and the fee is non-refundable.

  • Chapters may pay for, and save up to 2 slots (starting Nov. 2), if individual participants are unknown. Please complete below form and note “Saving (One/Two) slots” in the Presenter’s Name row. Payment info must be included and a $25 non-refundable charge per slot via credit card.
     Your card will be charged immediately, and the fee is non-refundable.

  • Participant names for saved slots must be provided to collegiate@ama.org by end of day February 11, 2016, or AMA will fill the slot from our Waitlist without notification or refund.

  • We will still accept applications that list an individual participant, but the above non-refundable fee and Waitlist policy will still apply for cancellations. No chapter substitutions.

  • Participants must also be registered to attend the International Collegiate Conference no later than end of day February 11, 2016.  Failure to register for the Conference by this date will allow AMA to fill the slot from our Waitlist without notification or refund.   • A sales topic and scenario will be created for all participants. More information on the sales presentation topic and parameters and judging criteria will be emailed to those participating after February 11, 2016.

  • Confirmed participants will receive a final confirmation email with presentation time 2 weeks prior to the Conference.

  • No chapter participant changes/substitutions will be accepted after February 11, 2016

​AMA will confirm receipt of entry form within 24 hrs (business days) of receipt.

Cancellations will be filled by AMA from our waitlist, no chapter/student substitutions allowed. No on-site student substitutions or walk-ons will be allowed. AMA will alert those on the waitlist of openings as they become available. Submission of entry means acceptance of the above policies.
