Best Community and Social Impact Video Competition

AMA Best Community and Social Impact Video Competition

AMA Collegiate is again offering its affiliated AMA collegiate chapters the opportunity to build their Community and Social Impact efforts through two video competitions.  This competition also aligns with AMA’s new Social Impact Scholarship designed to promote the well-being of individuals and society.

What is this Competition?

This is a competition where AMA Collegiate Chapters can create videos worthy to be posted to a client or cause's website. The videos should be usable by a non-profit client to promote their cause (rather than being a video showcasing your AMA chapter's work for the cause). The Community and Social Impact portion of the Annual Report counts for 15 out of 100 total Chapter Award Competition Points.  This section places primary importance on activities that use a chapter’s “marketing skills.”

What is the Cause?

What are the Two Video Style Categories of the Best Community and Social Impact Video Competition that my chapter can compete in?

1) Best Social Impact Video

Creativy and connection to the social issue are greatly valued!

 - Video can be made in any quality you seem that fits your vision (professional & smart phone).
 - Your video may be no more than than three minutes (3:00).

Unlike past years there is NO AMA selected common cause.  Instead, chapters may select any “client(s)” locally or national that they choose.

This will allow you to submit videos for social causes you are already doing or are considering. This style category mirrors the Community & Social Impact category of the Chapter Plan/Annual Report, where "cause" is defined as: "programs and activities that demonstrate the chapter’s commitment to the greater community in which it operates (e.g., the larger campus community, the local community, national philanthropies) and the social impact of your marketing efforts make.

All video content must be original, produced by the students who are making the competition submission. Use of any video content produced by or obtained from the client, their agency partners or other third parties is not permitted.

2) Best Recruitment Video

Creativy and connection to the social issue are greatly valued! This is a new category this year this will allow chapters to put together their best AMA recruitment video. In this category you should highlight the value and excitement that members can get from being involved in your collegiate chapter. Make sure to highlight the AMA-zing experiences your chapter has to offer in a fun and engaging way!

2. After your video upload is completed, complete this Wufoo Form

The deadline to complete the Wufoo form is by Noon Central Time, January 24, 2018.

Late or incomplete entries (no hyperlinks to your videos, for instance) will not be considered as accepted.
