Air Canada. Blackberry. Labatt. Lululemon. All iconic Canadian brands embody the heritage of the Great White North and promote its prestige worldwide as unofficial ambassadors.

America's northern neighbor turns 150 years old this month. In that span, the former British colony has grown to become the second largest country in the world in terms of landmass, and boasts the world's tenth largest economy.

Global brand consultancy Interbrand marked the milestone by releasing a report that looks names the 150 most influential brands in Canada today. It also explores milestones in Canadian business history, and provides context about why they were right company at the right moment.
