Dear Colleagues:

It is with a very heavy heart that I write to to convey the sad news of the passing of Michael Houston, a distinguished member of the AMA community. He is now at peace after fighting cancer for over four years.

A former Chair of the ACR conference, Michael published prodigiously in JCR, JMR and JM, and served as editor of JMR as well. At Carlson, he served in many roles including as Department Chair, Associate Dean and Co-Dean.

While we, his friends and colleagues grieve his passing, we also celebrate an extraordinary life. He will be missed terribly.
