ICORIA 2023 Writers Workshop
Authors and prospective authors will be pleased to learn about the European Advertising Academy annual conference’s first-ever Writer’s Workshop on Crafting Industry Relevant Research. Hosted by the Journal of Advertising Research, International Journal of Advertising and Journal of Advertising, the workshop aims to help authors develop research that is relevant specifically to advertising practice.
Editors and AEs from the three hosting journals will share advice and tips. Panels and presentations will offer guidance on finding and working with industry partners, identifying topics industry cares about, designing more ecologically valid studies, and developing stronger managerial implications sections in papers. Breakout sessions will offer (but not require) authors the option to share early-stage ideas and receive feedback and suggestions.
Now in its 21st year, ICORIA (the International Conference on Research in Advertising), will be held in Bordeaux (France) Thursday, June 29th – Saturday, July 1st. The Writer’s Workshop—scheduled for opening day (Thursday afternoon)—is free and open to all advertising researchers except doctoral students, who are encouraged to attend ICORIA’s Doctoral Colloquium instead.
