CALL FOR PAPERS
Global Sales Science Institute (GSSI) Conference 2023
Take Action! What Should we DO Next in Selling and Sales Management
June 7-10, 2023 in Toronto, Canada
For the past few years, we’ve all been forced to be a little more sedentary than we would prefer, so the 2023 GSSI conference theme is “Take Action!” Get out of your chair, office, and country and let’s talk about what’s next in sales! We are open to all types of papers (quantitative, qualitative, conceptual) but ask that you submit something that informs action. Do you have work that provides actionable guidance to managers, researchers, or educators? Submit it and join us in Toronto – we are eager for you to share with us. Competitive papers will be reviewed in a double‐blind process and awards will be conferred for the best: (1) empirical, (2) theoretical, and (3) doctoral student papers.
Please submit to gssitoronto23@gmail.com no later than February 15th, 2023.
Submission guidelines
We welcome submissions of abstracts or full papers but ask that all submissions clearly state who is expected to take action as a result of the work and what action(s) they are to take. We also welcome submissions for special sessions related to sales research methods, publishing and/or teaching.
Structured abstracts. Please submit your structured abstract, including the main research question(s), theoretical framework, methods/results (if applicable), and discussion sections (detailing actionable recommendations). The structured abstracts should not exceed 5 single-spaced pages (not including references). Please note that only full papers will be considered for best paper awards.
Full papers. Please submit your full paper, including the main research question(s), theoretical framework, methods/results (wherever applicable), and discussion sections (detailing actionable recommendations). Manuscripts must include a single‐spaced abstract not exceeding 100 words and should adhere to the formatting guidelines of the Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management.
Special Sessions. Please submit your structured proposal, including the main topic, purpose, expected duration, and potential moderators/panelists. The proposal should not exceed 2 single-spaced pages and even special sessions are asked to focus on what action should result from potential attendees. Please note that the recommended panelists should register for the conference.
Requirements
At least one author of every accepted paper must: (1) appear at the conference to present the paper (2) return a properly formatted version of the work by the deadline, and (3) register for the conference by the registration deadline.
