Policy and Change: The Role of Marketing and Public Policy in a Securing a Sustainable Future

Research at the intersection of marketing and public policy aims to uncover and explore the actions of consumers, policymakers and businesses that—either purposefully or unintentionally—promote or hinder progress towards creating a sustainable future. Our theme interprets sustainability broadly to encompass consumer issues related to the health and well-being of people, the planet, businesses and the entities that work to protect them.

The call for papers casts a wide net, recognizing the breadth of issues currently challenging efforts to secure a sustainable future and, more importantly, underscoring the potential impact of research in formulating solutions that drive real change. In keeping with our theme, we especially encourage papers and sessions that focus on the following topics:

  • Health, Well-being and Consumer Protection
  • Protecting Vulnerable Consumers
  • Reducing Structural Disparities and Discrimination
  • Anti-Trust and Competition Policy
  • Sustainably and Environmental Security
  • Economic Security and Financial Well-Being
  • Privacy and Autonomy
  • Politics and Political Activism

We invite proposals for posters, papers, and special session. See submission templates here:

The deadline for submissions is November 11, 2022. Find the full Call For Papers at:
