Author: Michael Goldman

The Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship program provides fellowships to doctoral students and junior faculty in the first three years of a tenure-track or equivalent appointment to be trained in case research, writing, and teaching at the annual meeting of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA). The fellowship pays a stipend that covers the NACRA conference registration fee, travel, and lodging for the 2022 conference in October at Niagara Falls, Canada. Each fellowship recipient receives special case research training at the conference, attends all delegate sessions at the conference, and is paired with an experienced case writer and teacher that shares substantive interests with the fellowship recipient. Previous Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship recipients have gone on to become award-winning case researchers and teachers, and continue to play leadership roles within the academia.

“Best experience ever! The program for fellows was very well-designed. I met awesome people and gained so much from those wonderful seminars, constructive discussions and helpful mentoring. What touched me the most was the servant leadership exhibited by the NACRA team. In the amazing three days, NACRA’s unique culture won my loyalty.” Caleb Chen, Macau University of Science and Technology

“By bringing in talented early-career scholars from around the world, our fellowship program helps promote the development of outstanding cases that will be relevant to the experience of students from many cultures.” Anne Lawrence, Chair of the Case Research Foundation

The Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship is supported by Ivey Publishing, Emerald Publishing, Sage Business Cases, and many individual donors. To learn more about the Fellowship, and to apply by April 4, 2022, please see
