(Reminder) Zoom Presentation: How to Use Screeners to improve Data Quality from Online Services

In this online presentation, we will discuss a framework for systematically assessing data quality from online data sampling sources, such as MTurk, Qualtrics, Prolific, and Dynata. Assessing sample quality and screening data is an absolute necessity when using online data collection services. No matter how generalizable a theory, research materials must still be read and understood to be valid. Based on the theory and findings from our IJRM publication, this presentation will discuss how to screen data and assess sample quality based on sampling goal (selection vs. accuracy) using two methodologies (direct vs. statistical). Using this framework, researchers can improve the quality of their data. We will have time for Q&A at the end of the presentation.
