Dear Doctoral Students,

Each spring, DocSIG surveys students who are in the job-seeking stage of their doctoral programs via our annual Who Went Where? (WWW) Survey. If you were in the job market during Summer 2020 or are still in the process of job-searching, DocSIG would like to hear about your job market experience.

The 2021 WWW survey gathers information regarding your job market experience, your teaching experience, number of publications, salary, etc. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes. The information you provide is strictly ANONYMOUS and the results will be presented in aggregate at the 2021 Summer AMA Conference.

At the end of the survey, you will have an option to provide your name and institution for the purposes of acknowledging your achievement in the 2021 WWW report and letting your colleagues know where you where you are headed in the next academic semester. Your name and institution, if you wish to provide them, will be collected through a separate, redirected survey to ensure anonymity and confidentiality from the information sensitivity (e.g., job market experience, salary, etc.) you provide in the 2021 WWW Survey.

We encourage all candidates, regardless of their job search status and despite the challenges in 2020-2021, to participate in the survey. Please consider completing this survey even if you have not yet received a job offer, not yet accepted a job offer, or even if you have accepted a non-academic job offer. Your responses will give future candidates a better idea of what to expect when they enter the job market.

To view WWW reports that are available on the DocSIG website, please see here. The survey is linked below. We would appreciate it if you would take the survey(s) at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and participation!
