Renana Peres is Co-Editor at IJRM

Dr. Renana Peres joins IJRM (the International Journal of Research in Marketing) as Co-Editor, replacing Professor Andrew Stephen who is leaving the IJRM editorial board to take over co-editorship role at JCR.  Renana will start handling new submissions on 1 October 2020. Andrew will continue handling new submissions till 30 September 2020 and revisions till 31 October 2020.  Renana will take over all of Andrew’s submissions that are still in the pipeline starting 1 November 2020.

Dr. Peres is an associate professor of marketing at the Jerusalem School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She earned her BSc and MSc in Physics from the Hebrew University, and a PhD in Marketing from Tel Aviv University. Her research deals with social interactions, understanding how word of mouth is generated on brands, and how it is translated into sales. She uses methodologies such as agent-based models, image processing, content analysis, machine learning, and diffusion models.  Dr. Peres has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, and at Stern School of Business at NYU. She has published her works in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Physica A, and Quantitative Marketing and Economics, among others.  She has been a member of the IJRM editorial review board since 2007 and an Associate Editor since 2018. She also serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Marketing.  Dr. Peres is the Founding CEO of Persay Ltd, an Israeli high-tech firm focusing on development and implementation of algorithms for voice-based recognition.
