The Editors for the upcoming JPIM Special Issue: “The Impact of Digital Manufacturing on Innovation Management” (see call for papers) invite you to join us for an interactive ideation session. During this virtual discussion, Mike Stanko and Aric Rindfleish will briefly outline the purpose of the special issue and some of the possibilities, challenging researchers to address important unresolved questions. Charles Noble and Jelena Spanjol, JPIM‘s Editors in Chief will be in attendance to give their perspective and help participants ideate. Most of the session will be spent brainstorming possibilities with other interested researchers and then getting input from the editorial team. Of course, we realize that there are projects well underway that will target this special issue – if those authors have specific questions related to their work it is likely best to email the editors directly. This session is intended to spur research interest related to digital manufacturing/3D printing and innovation while helping to connect the field of interested researchers, especially in these times when making new contacts has been challenging. We look forward to an energetic exchange of ideas Friday July 24th 10:00-11:30am eastern time. If you’d like to attend, please email mike_stanko@ncsu.edu for pre-discussion materials and zoom details.
