NEW EDITOR OF THE JOURNAL OF MARKETING EDUCATION

April 24, 2019, Boston, MA. At its annual meeting in Phoenix, AZ, the Marketing Educators’ Association, in conjunction with SAGE Publishing, announced that Victoria (Vicky) L. Crittenden, Professor of Marketing at Babson College, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing Education. Professor Crittenden will assume the position on September 1, 2019 from outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Professor Donald Bacon of the Daniels College of Business, University of Denver. Professor Bacon has served as the journal editor since 2012.

Professor Crittenden has served on the editorial team of the journal for many years as a member of the editorial review board and, more recently, as an Associate Editor, and she has edited numerous special issues for the journal. Vicky has published extensively in the top educational scholarship journals in business, as well as in highly-ranked scholarly and practitioner journals. Prior to joining Babson College in 2013, she spent 25 years in the Marketing Department at Boston College, where she served as Department Chair for nine years and Chair of the MBA Core Faculty for three years. Additionally, she has served as a Visiting Faculty member at the University of South Alabama (USA), Kennesaw State University (USA), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Luleå University (Sweden), WU Executive Academy (Austria), University of Ulster (N. Ireland), The American College of Greece, and the University of Robert Schuman (France). Vicky is a Distinguished Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science and a Fellow of the Direct Selling Education Foundation and of the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas-Austin. She was the recipient of the 2013 AMA’s Pearson Prentice Hall’s Solomon-Marshall-Stuart Award for Innovative Excellence in Marketing Education and the 2005 AMS Lamb, Hair, McDaniel Outstanding Marketing Teacher Award. Vicky holds a BA from Lyon College, an MBA from the University of Arkansas, and a DBA from the Harvard Business School.
