Announcing the Winners of the JMR Best Article Awards
Paul E. Green Award
The Paul E. Green Award recognizes the best article published in Journal of Marketing Research within the most recent calendar year that shows or demonstrates the most potential to contribute significantly to the practice of marketing research and research in marketing.
Eva Escarza has been selected as the recipient of the 2018 Green Award for her article "Retention Futility: Targeting High-Risk Customers Might be Ineffective,” which appeared in the February 2018 issue of Journal of Marketing Research. The Green Award committee this year includes Tulin Erdem, Rebecca Hamilton, and Joel Huber. William F. O’Dell Award
The William F. O’Dell Award recognizes an article in Journal of Marketing Research that has made the most significant long-term contribution to marketing theory, methodology, and/or practice.
Seshadri Tirunillai and Gerard J. Tellis have been selected as the recipients of the 2019 O’Dell Award for their article "Mining Marketing Meaning from Online Chatter: Strategic Brand Analysis of Big Data Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation,” which appeared in the August 2014 issue (Vol. 51, No. 4) of Journal of Marketing Research. The O’Dell Award committee this year includes Sachin Gupta, Mary Frances Luce, and Russ Winer. The award recipients will be honored at the AMA Summer Academic Conference in Chicago (August 9-11) during an awards luncheon. In addition, the JMR editorial leadership is planning to host special sessions at the conference featuring the award-winning research.
