Dear friends, colleagues, authors,

We are preparing a book entitled “Emotional, Sensory, and Social Dimensions of Consumer Buying Behavior” which will be published by “IGI Global”.The objective of this publication is to share with the audience the latest empirical research, best practices, and theories in the fields of retailing and consumer behavior. This book is expected to bring together contributions about the importance of the emotional side of shopping, and discuss shopper behavior influences in the highly competitive, changing, and challenging retail industry. Moreover, the book addresses emerging developments in technology and integrated online- offline-shopping methods.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

Enhancing the shopping experience (Examples: Emotional shopping experience, Environmental and sensory dimensions of retailing, Social interaction in retail settings, Entertainment and leisure in retailing, Customer engagement).

The future of shopping destinations (Examples: Changes in consumer behavior, Changes in retail formats and shopping destinations, Predicting the dimensions of the future shopping trip, Integrated shopping experience, Multi-channel retailing and omni-channel retailing¸ Emerging technologies in retail)

The book is anticipated to be released in 2020. Potential contributors are invited to submit an abstract of 1,000 to 2,000 (excluding references) until 30 March, 2019 presenting the intended contributions of their chapter. Authors will be notified about the status of their proposals by 19 April. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by Jul 28, 2019. Submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers.

  • July 28, 2019: Full Chapter Submission
  • September 25, 2019: Review Results Returned
  • November 6, 2019: Final Acceptance Notification
  • November 20, 2019: Final Chapter Submission
