Melbourne to Relaunch PhD
Introduction
The University of Melbourne will be relaunching its PhD Program in Marketing
The University of Melbourne is relaunching its PhD Program in Marketing, commencing in 2019. The course has been redesigned to meet the needs of contemporary marketing scholarship. It starts with a specialist 2-year Master of Commerce program of 15 semester-long subjects and includes a year-long Master’s thesis subject. It is followed by three years of independent research with quantitative, behavioral or qualitative emphasis. The new curriculum equips students with multidisciplinary tools and offers a dynamic student experience with small class sizes and dedicated support.
All full-time students receive a scholarship covering tuition (~ AUD 40,000) and a living stipend (~AUD 30,000, tax free) for each of the five years of the program. The University of Melbourne is Australia’s No.1 University (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018) and is also ranked 8th globally for Social Sciences and Management (QS World University Subject Rankings 2018). Melbourne is the 2nd most liveable city in the world according to the 2018 City Liveability Rankings by The Economist.
