2018 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Pearson Prentice Hall’s Solomon-Marshall-Stuart Award for Innovative Excellence in Marketing Education
Submission Deadline: April 3, 2018
The AMA Teaching & Learning Special Interest Group, in partnership with Pearson Prentice Hall and Michael Solomon, Greg Marshall and Elnora Stuart (authors of Marketing: Real People, Real Choices), conducts a competition to recognize innovative excellence in marketing education. This competition provides a forum for outstanding educators to share their classroom innovations with colleagues from around the world.
Innovative Excellence, as a judgment criteria, refers to the novelty, quality and demonstrated impact of a pedagogical innovation that advances the discipline of marketing education by overcoming challenges in current or traditional approaches to course delivery. This year’s award will focus on teaching innovations in the categories of experiential learning and curriculum design.
The competition is open to any full-time marketing educator who is also a member of the American Marketing Association. Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of five AMA judges, and the three finalists will present their innovations at a Special Awards Session at the Summer Marketing Educator’s Conference in Boston. Following the presentations, the winner and two runners-up will be announced by the Teaching & Learning SIG Chairs.
The winner of the Innovative Excellence in Marketing Education Award will receive a plaque and a $1000 award from Pearson Prentice Hall, and the two runners-up will each receive an award of $250. Please visit the www.tlsig.com for more information about the award and application package details.
