Revisit: Story Consumption Symposium
Introduction
Cass Business School, London, 25 Jun 2018
Story Consumption Symposium (#StorySymp)
"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies… The man who never reads lives only one."
With these words by George R.R. Martin in mind, we are organising a one-day symposium on the topic of story consumption at Cass Business School in London, UK. The Story Consumption Symposium (#StorySymp) will take place on Monday 25 June 2018, directly after the Saturday 23 June end of the European Association for Consumer Research conference in Ghent, Belgium. #StorySymp will feature work in progress as well as papers currently under review at the top marketing and consumer research journals. The presentations originate from different paradigms and will tackle consumption of luxury, popular, professionally acted, and digital stories.
Our keynote speaker is Laura Di Giuseppe, Brand Manager of J.R.R. Tolkien, Agatha Christie, and George R.R. Martin/Game of Thrones. Other presenters include but are not limited to Eileen Fischer, Pauline Maclaran, Hope Jensen Schau, Luca Massimiliano Visconti, Cristel Antonia Russell, Lorna Stevens, Jennifer Edson Escalas, Björn Bohnenkamp, Pier Vittorio Mannucci, and Davide Christian Orazi.
Registration is now open for scholars, practitioners, and PhD students interested in story consumption:
