Ronald Fullerton, marketing historian, passed away on 28 Jan 2018
Ronald Fullerton passed away on January 28. Ron was a trailblazing scholar in marketing history, among the first of the ‘modern’ marketing historians to publish historical research in top journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. Along with Stanley Hollander and Terrence Nevett, Ron was instrumental in organizing the early Conferences on Historical Analysis & Research in Marketing (CHARM) in the early 1980s. He was a founding member of the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Historical Research in Marketing. Ron’s final publication was a book published in 2016, the title of which was the theme for most of the research published throughout his career – The Foundations of Marketing Practice. Funeral services will be held in Metuchen, NJ on February 17.
