I, in conjunction with the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Marketing Development (SHSMD), am coordinating a new online community of healthcare educators. The purpose of this community is to facilitate communication and collaboration among healthcare marketing, communication, & strategic planning educators and researchers.

We’ve chosen Slack.com as the communication platform. Unlike social media platforms (e.g., Facebook & LinkedIn), Slack provides communication without advertisements or third party curation. Slack is also a searchable, closed communication tool that allows for easy sharing, and provides a host of features (e.g., video conferencing, file sharing, messaging, etc.).
