Editorship of European Journal of Marketing

Professor Nick Lee will be stepping down as Editor of European Journal of Marketing at the end of 2017. Nick joined EJM in 2008 as Co-Editor with Gordon Greenley and has been the sole Editor since Gordon’s retirement in 2010. He has made a great contribution to the journal. We now seek a new editorial team to commence in January 2018.

EJM is a large and successful journal with well over 800 submissions per year. It is included in SSCI and Scopus and registers around 1 million downloads per year. Its Impact factor has increased steadily since it gained one in 2008. The content, authorship and readership of the journal are wholly international. It is ranked at 3 by the UK CABS and A* by the Australian ABDC lists. Google Scholar ranks it 7th in marketing journals according to the H5 index.

The journal uses the Scholar One online submission system and a large team of Associate Editors is in place to help with the review of the high level of submissions.

Applications for the Editorship are invited which include:

• A vision for the future development of the journal
• Evidence of academic authority and strong international networks in the field
• Details of relevant editorial experience
• Details of support that would be provided by the home institution (for example time allocation/administrative support)

We would particularly welcome applications from Joint Editor teams. Given the internationality of the journal and the online nature of the review system there is no necessity that Joint Editors be located in the same institution, and indeed they could be in separate regions of the world, as long as they could demonstrate their ability to maintain a close working relationship.
