CALL FOR PAPERS

This is an invitation to submit for publication consideration a paper to the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management Special Issue on “Strategic Management in Emerging Economies: Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Management,” to be edited by Professor Lütfihak Alpkan (Istanbul Technical University) and co-edited by Dr. Tanses Gülsoy (Beykent University), as guest co-editors.

Edited by Professor Tugrul U. Daim (Portland State University), the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management aims to develop and promote the fields of innovation and technology management by providing a platform for reporting, sharing, and exchanging ideas, research findings, industry best practices, and trends in the selected fields. The special issue on “Strategic Management in Emerging Economies: Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Management” hopes to serve the aims of the journal by focusing on sustainable management from various perspectives: These include but are not limited to the role of innovation in sustainable development of emerging economies, innovations in and from emerging economies, the role of institutional supports in innovation, how and what types of innovation can help emerging economy firms to compete with their more established rivals from developed economies, how innovation can be managed, and corporate social responsibility as a source of sustainable management practice in the context of emerging economies. The papers may address any of the following topics:

• Innovation management
• Social innovation
• Sustainable management
• Policy making to encourage innovation
• Service innovations
• Corporate social responsibility and sustainable management
• Social business
• Disruptive innovation
• Disadvantaged social groups and sustainable management
• Innovative business models
• Open innovation
• Corporate culture cultivating innovations
• Supply chain innovation
• Regional innovation systems

Articles are required to be around 7000-10,000 words in length, but we will also consider longer papers. Please make sure that your paper addresses the theme of the special issue. Papers should be submitted no later than Friday, September 29, 2017. Last revisions will have to be submitted by June 2018, final decisions will be made by December 2018, and publication is planned for January of 2019.

We encourage papers to be submitted electronically through Manuscript Central at http://www.editorialmanager.com/ijitm/login.asp. As you submit your paper electronically, please indicate in the Section for the Editor-in-Chief that your paper is for the Special Issue on “Strategic Management in Emerging Economies: Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Management.” Once you have completed your electronic submission, please alert Professor Tugrul Daim (ji2td@pdx.edu) and Dr. Tanses Gülsoy (tansesgulsoy@beykent.edu.tr) by e-mail that you have made a submission to the Special Issue on “Strategic Management in Emerging Economies: Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Management.”
