2016 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research
The Marketing Strategy SIG is delighted to announce that Prof. Kapil R. Tuli is the winner of the 2016 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research. A three member panel of prior award winners found Kapil’s research accomplishments to be highly commendable and deserving of this year’s award.
Kapil earned his PhD in Marketing from Emory University in 2006 and is currently an Associate Professor of Marketing at Singapore Management University. His research focuses on the development and delivery of customer services, the dynamics of customer-firm relationships, and the impact of marketing activities on shareholder value. His research has been published in a variety of leading marketing and management journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Management Science, and Journal of Retailing, and has won several research awards, including the ISBM Business Marketing Doctoral Support Award. In addition, one of his papers was a finalist for the Harold Maynard Award. He also serves as a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, and Journal of Service Research. In addition, he is regularly recognized as one of SMU’s best teachers.
