Revisit: MMA Fall 2016
Introduction
AxcessCapon Teaching Innovation Competition at the Marketing Management Association Fall Educators' Conference, Providence, RI, 14-16 Sep 2016; Deadline 27 May
Submissions for the 2016 AxcessCapon Teaching Innovation Competition, organized by the Marketing Management Association (MMA), are due May 27. The competition is intended to foster advancement in the teaching of marketing by recognizing marketing educators who have designed and implemented impactful pedagogical innovations. For the purposes of this competition, an innovation is a single activity, exercise, project, assignment, method, or event, as opposed to an overall philosophy or strategy in marketing education.
The first step in the process is the submission of a paper describing the innovation. Three finalists will then be selected to present their innovations at the 2016 MMA Fall Educators’ Conference, taking place September 14–16 in Providence, RI.
Detailed instructions on how to prepare and submit a paper can be found in the Call for Submissions available at
http://www.mmaglobal.org/competitions/axcesscapon-teaching-innovation/.
For questions or assistance, please contact the competition coordinator, Bill Madway, at TeachingInnovationComp@mmaglobal.org.
As mentioned above, the competition is part of the MMA’s Fall Educators’ Conference. The theme of the 2016 conference is “Walking the Talk: Customer-Centric Marketing Education.” Papers, panels and special sessions will explore perspectives on “customer-centric” marketing education, and its pros and cons for students, instructors, and marketing practice as a whole.
Detailed information about the conference, along with calls for papers, competitions, and other conference activities, can be found at
