Cultural Measures: Substitution for Missing Values for Power Distance

Does anyone know of a citation or method for dealing with missing country scores for measures of culture? I have a 181 country sample, and I don’t want to lose more than half my sample because no (Hofstede) values are available for more a limited number of countries. Could I use a linguistically, geographically, or culturally similar neighbor as a substitute?
