The 40th annual conference of the Marketing Educators’ Association, the premier marketing educators’ association dedicated to advancing the practice and scholarship of marketing education (www.marketingeducators.org), will be held April 14-16, 2016 at the Curtis Hotel in Denver CO. The emphasis of the 2016 Marketing Educators’ Association Conference will be on topics dealing directly with marketing education— current marketing trends (e.g. multi-media use, social media, technology, creativity, interdisciplinary courses), student/department development issues (e.g. internships and client-based projects, developing institutes, centers, interest / advisory groups), as well as general marketing education issues—and will be comprised of both Competitive Papers, Special Sessions and 2-3 page position paper sessions. Conference registration includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Marketing Education, along with the Thursday President’s reception and awards dinner, Friday lunch, and Friday and Saturday breakfasts. MEA participants at the 2015 Conference enjoyed a friendly atmosphere with colleagues from all across the United States and different countries around the world while engaging in discussions about cutting edge advances and future trends in marketing education and pedagogy.
Papers presented at the conference may lead to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other similar journals. If you are working on an idea that is not a fully developed paper yet, a 2-3 page position paper would provide you a chance to network with colleagues who have similar interests who can provide feedback on your work in progress. Regardless of whether or not you are submitting a paper, join us to share ideas and participate in discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of marketing education.
The Curtis Hotel is a boutique downtown Denver Hotel that provides a unique experience with the best pop culture can offer, complete with cartoons playing in the lobby and a Five & Dime filled with treats from the past.
