Food Marketing Research Symposium, Crete, Greece June 18-19, 2015
We continue to accept papers for the International Food Marketing Research Symposium to be held on June 18-19, 2015 at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh), Crete, Greece.
This year’s conference will feature a PhD student-faculty workshop, announcement of the PhD Dissertation competition winner, and an Ethics in Food Marketing special session and best paper prize.
There will be a welcome reception on Wednesday June 17th and two full days of conference programming on June 18th and 19th.
A selection of best papers will be published in this year’s partnering journals:

- Journal of Food & Agribusiness Marketing
- British Food Journal

The Conference is sponsored by both the Journal of Food Products Marketing and the Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Marketing. Best of class articles will be considered for publication in one of the Journals (depending on the topics).
The Institute of Food Products Marketing hosts this two day research symposium as a forum for discussion and communication of food marketing research. This is a peer reviewed academic conference for food marketing articles and student papers. The session topics will include:

Accepted papers will be published in an electronic Proceedings (with ISBN number).
We encourage graduate students to submit their work; the best student paper will be selected to appear in an issue of the Journal of Food Products Marketing.
Depending on the distance of author, we may incorporate a few remote video based presentations.
The conference fee includes conference materials, a welcome cocktail reception, lunch and coffee breaks each day, and a closing dinner at a nearby location.

The International Food Marketing Research Symposium is hosted by the Institute of Food Products Marketing in various locations around the world to provide a dedicated, regular forum where academic food marketers can meet to present their research in various stages of development to advance the discipline of academic food marketing. The research symposium welcomes multidisciplinary research from quantitative and qualitative methodologies, consumer behavior and management perspectives, and the study of the entire food marketing process. The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh, http://www.maich.gr) is the most recently established (1985) of the four Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes administered by the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM,http://www.ciheam.org) whose General Secretariat resides in Paris (France). The Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes of Bari (IAMB, Italy), Montpellier (IAMM, France) and Zaragoza (IAMZ, Spain) are constituent Institutes of the same organisation. The annual budget contribution of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania is entirely provided by the Greek government.
MAICh provides postgraduate education leading to the degree of Master of Science (M.Sc.) for the following programs:

- Horticultural Genetics and Biotechnology
- Food Quality Management and Chemistry of Natural Products
- Natural Products and Biotechnology
- Sustainable Agriculture
It undertakes basic and applied research related to the sectors of economics, rural development, management, and applied biological, technological and environmental sciences, addressing to problems in the Mediterranean area.
