PLS-SEM Path Modeling Workshop

An innovative new opportunity for ACME members will be available at the annual conference in 2015. Joe Hair will present a workshop on the emerging method of Partial Least Squares Structural Equations Modeling (PLS-SEM) – using the new version of SmartPLS 3.0.

Workshop details are the following:

• SmartPLS Version 3.0, with many new features, will be explained.
• Time: Thursday – 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
• Approach: Powerpoint slides with instructions on how to use SmartPLS Version 3 will be provided, along with major concepts about PLS-SEM.
• Most of the workshop will involve “hands-on” analysis of dataset using the SmartPLS Version 3 software. SmartPLS Version 3 software output diagnostics and proper interpretation of the results will be covered. Potential obstacles and “rules-of-thumb” to ensure appropriate application of the technique will be covered.
• Who should attend: Individuals wishing to learn the fundamentals of PLS-SEM and the SmartPLS Version 3 software.
• Cost: Free for ACME members. $50.00 fee for Non ACME members.
• Requirement: Participants must bring a laptop with the SmartPLS 3.0 software loaded. The software is available free from www.smartpls.de. When you download the software choose the Professional version. It says there is a charge but it is free while in the beta version.
