Venkat Mummalaneni seeks suggestions for an undergraduate course to assess and impart analytical skills
We have noticed that the analytical skills of our students are weak and most shy away from numbers. To remedy this, we are contemplating a course/module that will attempt to teach and assess the necessary skills. We seek comments/examples/suggestions from colleagues who had experience with similar efforts. Our business students are required to take a Business Statistics course and marketing students are required to take a course on Marketing Research, but they don’t seem to retain the analytical skills.
