Revisit: AxcessCapon Teaching Competition 2014

Introduction

The Marketing Management Association calls for submissions for its annual Teaching Innovation Competition sponsored by AxcessCapon; Deadline 23 May 2014

The Marketing Management Association (MMA) is accepting entries for the 2014 AxcessCapon Teaching Innovation Competition. The competition is intended to foster advancement in the teaching of marketing by recognizing marketing educators who have designed and implemented impactful pedagogical innovations. The competition is open to all marketing instructors—full- and part-time, including doctoral students—from all types of academic institutions. For the purposes of this competition, an innovation is a single activity, exercise, project, assignment, method, or event, as opposed to an overall philosophy or strategy in marketing education.

The first step in the process is the submission of a paper of up to eight pages that describes the innovation. Detailed instructions on how to prepare and submit a paper can be found in the Call for Submissions available at

http://www.mmaglobal.org/competitions/axcesscapon-teaching-innovation/.

Papers must be submitted by May 23, 2014.

Three finalists will be selected from the submissions to present their innovations at the 2014 MMA Fall Educators’ Conference, September 17–19 in San Antonio, TX

Up to two free nights at the conference hotel for each finalist (limited to one author of a multiple-author entry) will be provided. The winning innovation will be selected from the three presentations, with all three recognized at the Awards Luncheon on Thursday, September 18. The top innovation will receive a $1,000 prize; the other two innovations will each receive a $250 prize.

For questions or assistance, please contact the competition coordinator, Bill Madway, at TeachingInnovationComp@mmaglobal.org. The MMA wishes to thank AxcessCapon (www.axcesscapon.com) for once again sponsoring the competition.
