Call for Nominations
The Marketing for Higher Education Special Interest Group is soliciting nominations for the position of SIG chair.
The Marketing for Higher Education is the most recent AMA SIG and has quickly grown its membership to circa 100 members in the last two years. We have organized numerous panels and special sessions at the Marketing Educators’ Conferences and organized a competitive track at the Winter Marketing Educators’ Conference in Las Vegas last year. For the upcoming Summer Marketing educators’ Conference in San Francisco, Glen Brodowsky, SIG vice chair, has been appointed as co-track chair for the “Trends in Marketing Education” track covering higher education marketing.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for Higher Education Marketing who can work with the SIG leadership on an agenda for moving the SIG forward and provide value to SIG members.
In order to provide a smooth transition of chair leadership, the current chair, Anthony Lowrie, will work with the chair elect for a transition period.
Role of the chair:
· To provide leadership and direction for the SIG in conjunction with the current vice-chairs.
· Grow and sustain the membership
· Lobby for competitive tracks at the Winter and Summer Marketing Educators’ Conferences.
· Organize panel and special sessions at the Marketing Educators’ Conferences.
Both self nomination and the nomination of others are encouraged. It is envisaged that the role will be for two years.

Applicants should submit a statement (maximum one page) outlining their plans for the SIG and what they would bring to the post. Applicants should be AMA members in good standing.
