University of Alabama Business Analytics Symposium 2014: January 29-31, 2014

Please join The University of Alabama’s Institute of Business Analytics for a lively dialog on topics at this year’s Business Analytics Symposium, hosted by the Culverhouse College of Commerce.

The Business Analytics Symposium is a two-day event exploring the diverse landscape of analytics in business. World-renowned experts in the fields of statistics, data-mining, analytics, and business attend. Tracks include Service Analytics, Sports Analytics, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Data Analytics. The keynote speakers are from the Atlanta Braves, ESPN, and BNSF. Other speakers are coming from companies including SAS, Nielsen, Millenial Media, Prorize, Webb Wheel, BBVA, Regions, Alfa Insurance, Omnicare, Healthsprings, and the University of Alabama. The event will be held at The University of Alabama Hotel Capstone in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

INFORMS CAP® Exam will be offered on Wednesday, January 29, 1:30pm – 4:30pm at the Hotel Capstone in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, preceding the Business Analytics Symposium.

The exam is still paper-and-pencil only for the 2013/early 2014 offerings. The exam is offered in very limited locations. This is a chance to separate yourself from the competition and advance your career potential.

If you can put together a team of 10 or more examinees from your organization, INFORMS is pleased to offer half off the regular exam rate if taken at this location.

Further, we can waive the requirement to provide a copy of your college transcript and confirmation of your “soft skills” before you are approved and schedule an exam. Before receiving a CAP Certification from INFORMS, you will need supply those items after you pass the exam.
