Taxis are very cheap (around 10 Euros) in Barcelona and all these events (except the Gala Dinner) are a very short drive from the your hotels. I recommend taking taxis when your party is of two people or more.
Transport between Hotels and Conference Venue:
- There will be buses taking you from the three conference hotels to the IESE campus at the beginning of the day: 8:15 am from the entrance of the hotels Friday and Saturday
- There will be buses taking participants directly from IESE campus to the Friday cocktail event at 7:30 pm.
- On Saturday, buses will take participants back to hotels at the end of the day: 6:15 pm from IESE campus
- And from the conference hotels to the Codorniu Cellars at 7:30 pm.
Address of Conference Hotels:
HOTEL PRINCESA SOFIA*****
Pl. Pius XII 4 – 08028
Barcelona · España
HOTEL AC VICTORIA SUITES****
Beltran i Ròzpide, 7-9 · Barcelona, Barcelona 08034
PRAKTIK RAMBLA
Rambla de Catalunya, 27
08007 Barcelona
Logistics for Presentations:
There will be projectors and computers with Internet connection available for the presenters.
Either make your slides accessible online or bring it on a USB drive.
Typical format is 15 minute talk + 5 minute Q&A within 80 minutes sessions. Q&A will be administered according to the Session Chair decisions.
Recommendations for Poster Presenters:
You or a co-author must prepare and set up a poster for display. You and/or your co-author(s) need to be present at your poster to interact with attendees.
At the time of setting up, each poster will be assigned a number that indicates where you should mount it. The total space you will have available for your poster and supporting materials is: 4 feet wide x 4 feet high (1.20 m x 1.20 m). You will mount your poster next to another poster on the same tack board which is 8 feet wide x 4 feet high in total (2.4 m x 1.2 m). The frame will reduce the surface area slightly so please plan accordingly.
Mount your materials on the tack board assigned to you. Bring: thumbtacks to
mount your poster, the poster itself, and 1-page handouts.
We recommend to prepare a handout explaining your work and make enough
copies for distribution.
Be physically present at your poster.
Take down the materials after the session
We look forward to seeing you at EACR 2013 in Barcelona!
Safe travels,
Ana Valenzuela, Elena Reutskaja, and Gert Cornelissen
