Introduction
3rd Edition of the Summer School on Experimental Auctions: Theory and Applications in Food Marketing and Consumer Preferences Analysis, Bologna, 28 Aug-4 Sep 2013
The summer school is aimed at learning the fundamentals and the recent advances of experimental auctions. It will provide the appropriate techniques to construct an experimental design, with software applications and workshops regarding specific problems in the fields of food market valuation. It will also provide the appropriate knowledge of the models used in the experimental auction literature for the data analysis. Results interpretation and policy implications will be also discussed.
The course is taught by Rodolfo M. Nayga, Jayson L. Lusk, Andreas Drichoutis, and Maurizio Canavari.
Lectures are given from Wednesday August 28 to Wednesday September 4, 7 hours per day. As a general structure, each day is based on 4 periods of teaching (2 in the morning before lunch break and 2 in the afternoon and early evening), dealing with Theory, Applications, and Tutorial on pc.
A certificate will be awarded to all participants. A final exam is scheduled on Wednesday September 4 for those who need the certificate of attendance to be associated to a grade in order to ask for credits recognition.
