The 2012 AMA Consumer Behavior Special Interest Group-CBSIG Rising Stars Are…..

Szu-Chi Huang is a marketing doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Austin who will join Stanford University in the Fall of 2013 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. Szu-Chi’s research interests are in consumer motivation, self-regulation, social interactions in goal pursuit, and prosocial behaviors. She has published in: Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research (three articles), Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (two articles), and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. She has also presented papers are several national conferences such as ACR, AMA Winter, SCP, and American Academy of Advertising (AAA). Nominated by Dr. Susan M. Broniarczyk (Sam Barshop Centennial Professor in Marketing Administration at UT Austin), Szu-Chi has received several prestigious awards and honors including the William Powers, Jr. Presidential Graduate Fellowship (UT-Austin), Continuing Endowed David & Mary Miller Fellowship (awarded to top 1% of graduate students at UT-Austin), and AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium Fellow.

Martin Reimann is a psychology doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California (USC) who will join the University of Arizona in the Fall of 2013 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. Martin has published numerous scholarly articles on topics of emotion and consumption in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology (two articles), Journal of International Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Marketing Letters, Psychology and Marketing, and International Journal of Research in Marketing, to name a few. Martin has presented and published numerous papers in national conference proceedings such as ACR, AMA Summer and Winter, and Academy of Marketing Science (AMS). Nominated by Dr. Antoine Bechara (Professor of Psychology at USC), Martin has received several prestigious awards and honors including the JCP/Park Young Contributor Award from the Society of Consumer Psychology (SCP), M. Wayne Delozier Award from the Academy of Marketing Science, and the William R. Darden Award also from the Academy of Marketing Science
