Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to participate in the 7th Academy of Wine Business Research International Conference, taking place June 12-15, 2013 at Brock University’s Goodman School of Business in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

This is an incredible opportunity for interested academics and industry professionals to share their experiences and knowledge, and examine wine research and development both locally and internationally. The conference invites both academic and applied papers and we especially encourage members of industry to apply. This year’s conference theme is Wine Enrichment through Experience, and aims to focus on the relationship between the enjoyment of wine and how it is experienced, as well as the role that personal narratives play in shaping industry trends.

Keynote speakers will include Paul Bosc Jr., President of Chateau des Charmes winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Professor Linda Bramble, writer and wine educator. In addition, lunch talks and round table sessions will feature several key members of Niagara’s wine industry, including Donald Ziraldo, pioneer in the creation of Canadian icewine and founder of Canada’s first “estate” winery, Inniskillin.

Social events are planned to allow the blending of networking among participants and the exploration of the beautiful Niagara Region and its various cultural and culinary delights. As such, the conference has been scheduled to coincide with the Niagara New Vintage Festival and Brock University’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute workshop, The Riesling Experience.
